Stephen Krupa is an original Psilos partner, joining the firm at its inception in 1998, and currently serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Steve focuses primarily on investment opportunities in healthcare information technology, digital health and IT-enabled healthcare services. Additionally, he advises Psilos’ portfolio companies on capital formation, M&A and competitive strategy. He serves on several Psilos portfolio company boards, including Active Health Management (exited), Care Management Technologies (exited), HealthScribe (exited), Extend Health (exited), HealthEdge Software, Patient Safe Solutions and Caregiver Services; and is the Chairman of the Board of HealthMine. He is also currently a trustee and member of the Executive Committee for the National School Climate Center, a non-profit focused on reducing bullying and improving social and emotional learning in schools.
Prior to Psilos, Steve was a vice president of Wasserstein Perella & Co. where he specialized in public and private mergers and acquisitions advisory work, much of which was focused in the healthcare industry. From 1987-1992, he worked as a mechanical engineer for Johnson Controls, Inc. Steve holds an M.B.A. with Distinction from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated a Palmer Scholar; and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida where he was elected to Tau Beta Pi.
